Mission

Terra Nuova promotes a cooperation based on dialogue, on linguistic pluralism and interculture. It respects cultural, social, gender and age differences, and believes in the supremacy of peace.
Terra Nuova considers that  international cooperation is, first of all, a free choice among individuals and social actors, a meeting of different cultures and experiences, and for this reason, an opportunity for interchange and common growth.

Terra Nuova promotes the full participation of those social sectors most at risk of being excluded because of their lack of identification in the cultural and economic dominant models; it is also involved in the planning, promotion and implementation of projects focused on a self-sufficient local development, thus becoming the agents of social transformation. The partners we prefer are therefore local communities, indigenous populations, discriminated women, children and adolescents risking ostracism, small urban and rural producers.

Thanks to our local coordination offices in Africa and Latin America, we ensure a continuous presence in these continents. We are convinced that only through the active involvement and participation of these communities, it is possible to build a dialogue with local groups and support their actual necessities and interests.
